2023 Centenary of Vegemite 2 Dollars Coins

Royal Australian Mint commemorated the 100th anniversary of Vegemite, thick, dark brown Australian food spread made from leftover brewers' yeast extract with various vegetable and spice additives, with 3 different 2 dollars coins only available at Woolworths.
3 million of these $2 coins were made for Woolworths customers to collect across Australia. Designed by Aaron Baggio, each of the three coins in the series features a different design and with a different color.
Australia is this year celebrating 100 mitey years of Vegemite, as Vegemite will be turning 100 years young on October 25th. We thank each and every person who invites Vegemite into their homes - whether it's on their morning toast, within their trusty spaghetti Bolognese - or through today's limited-edition range of $2 Vegemite coins.

100 Mitey Years
The first released coin features a jar of Vegemite as its focal point, with the words 100 Mitey Years at the bottom. The color used for this coin is yellow.
Tastes like Australia
The second coin, with a black circle, features a slice of Vegemite toast, with the words Tastes like Australia.
Happy Little Vegemites
The third coin features a child eating a slice of Vegemite on toast, with the words Happy Little Vegemites. Red color was chosen for this coin.
We've proudly ranged Vegemite for decades and it's been a staple in the shopping baskets of Australians for years. We're delighted to be a part of the celebrations for this iconic brand's centenary.

The 2023 Centenary of Vegemite $2 Coins also feature the Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse and not King Charles III. The portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by British engraver Jody Clark, the Memorial Obverse also includes the Queen's years of reign - reading Elizabeth II 1952-2022.
Vegemite is one of Australia's most recognisable and loved brands. It is fitting that the Royal Australian Mint has partnered with VEGEMITE and Woolworths to celebrate 100 Mitey years of an Australian icon.
