Florin - 1953 to 1963 - Price Guide
In 1954, the Mint decided to produce a new (and last) commemorative Florin for the first visit of the Queen Elizabeth II in Australia. In 1955, no florin was produced.
For the years 1953 and 1954, the obverse legend was: ELIZABETH . II. DEI. GRATIA. REGINA + This was changed to: ELIZABETH . II. DEI. GRATIA. REGINA. F: D: + on the commemorative 1954 Florin and was continued from 1956 to 1964.
