One cent 1990 - Not intended for circulation
The 1990 Royal Australian Mint proof coins set was presented in a clear acrylic case with red folder used for protection. A small amount of sets (1,985 out of 51,723) were packaged with The Australian International Coin Fair Sydney March 1990 inscription.
Most years since 1966, the Royal Australian Mint has released a proof set containing proof examples of Australia's circulating coinage. Proof coins have a different and more refined manufacturing process than circulation coins. The dies are polished to give a cameo-like/mirror-like or matte finish.
One cent 1990 value
