The Royal Australin Mint produced a 10 coins set and 1 dollar coins in presentation case on the Bluey, a blue Heeler puppy who is characterised by abundance of energy, imagination and curiosity about the world. In June 2024, a 3 coloured ecoins set was also available, with a mintage of 25,000, with additional coin in cards featuring Bluey, Heelers and Grannies.

This is the mint's classic storytelling and social culture commentary through coins.
We hope that through this new Bluey program we are cultivating the coin collector of tomorrow.

Created by Joe Brumm and animated by Ludo Studio, this homegrown Australian show debuted on ABC Kids on October 1, 2018. Bluey follows a fun-loving Blue Heeler pup named Bluey and her family - Mum Chilli, Dad Bandit, and sister Bingo. From backyard adventures to imaginative games, Bluey shows us the magic in everyday moments.

Bluey has captured families around the world and won numerous awards, including the coveted International Emmy Kids Award, three Logie Awards for Most Outstanding Children's Program and a Peabody Award. The series made its international premiere on Disney Junior in the United States and is released widely on Disney+.

Bluey is set to shine on this new Dollarbucks coin collection, marking the first-ever Bluey coins.
These fun and colourful coins encapsulate the playful essence of the beloved TV series, making them a timeless treasure for fans and collectors alike.

Books, merchandise, video games, podfcast and stage show and more were made also made since 2019 about the Bluey.

The commemorative $1 coins featuring designs of Bluey and the Heeler family are uncirculated and could only be purchased directly from the Mint or their authorised distributors. The uncirculated coins with a privy mark are the ones sold and presented as coin in card.
