Pierced head of a George III penny.

Front

Pierced and ornately engraved token with concentric rings of decoration (including an outer border of leaves) and text rendered in varying styles encircling two joined hearts, which enclose highly decorative initials:

J A B

An arrow runs downwards through the centre of the hearts, and there is a bow at the top of the arrow and two crossed arrows above the bow. At the top of the hearts are the words:

Love & Union

Around the base of the hearts is a semicircular line of printed text:

The outermost ring of text reads:

SACRED to FRIENDSH
