Convict Love Token - 1825 - Elizabeth

This token may relate to Henry Barton, 32, a shipwright, who was tried for dealing in counterfeit coins in 1825. Both he and his accomplice Philip Ward, 20, a smith, were sentenced to two years' confinement and were twice publicly whipped.
