Convict Love Token - 1819 - William Franklin
William Franklin, 17, was tried for breaking and entering into a house in Bethnal Green and the theft of a watch. Both he and his accomplice Samuel Stanton, 17, were found guilty of stealing but not of breaking and entering. They were sentenced to six months' imprisonment at Newgate Prison from 23 June 1819. Both were whipped as part of their punishment.
